Jim Spore (C) recently enjoyed dinner with Rotarians Mike Barrett (CEO, Runnymede Corp.) and Patricia Phillips (Virginia Beach Director of Finance).
Mr. Spore provided the club a 2008 overview of Virginia Beach projects.
Author Eric Latham of Bristol, Va., gives a passionate and entertaining recount of his walk across America, from Nags Head to San Francisco. Eric's walk to promote healthy lifestyles with an emphasis on cancer care, research, and awareness, was chronicled in his book Walk About America. The 3,591-mile, 206-day walk raised more than $20,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Rotarian Jim Flinchum (Managing Principal of Bay Capital Advisors) volunteered to help victims of Hurricane Katrina during a business trip to New Orleans.
Rotarian Jim DeBellis (former director, Virginia Beach Economic Development) sponsored and pinned new Rotarian Dan Edwards (Chairman, Virginian Beach School Board).
